Prescribing Policy

Norwich Private GP provides prescriptions in line with UK law and GMC guidance on remote consultations and prescribing.

Prescriptions are only issued following a consultation with a GMC-registered doctor.
A prescription will only be provided where the clinician has sufficient information to make a safe and informed decision.
Where clinically appropriate, prescriptions are sent electronically to a UK-registered pharmacy.
Repeat prescriptions require regular reviews to ensure safety and suitability.

For patient safety, we do not prescribe:

Controlled drugs (Schedule 2 & 3 medications)
Strong opioid painkillers for new patients
Any medication that requires in-person monitoring (unless clear arrangements are in place)

Patients on repeat medication must attend regular reviews to ensure continued safety and effectiveness.

Electronic prescriptions are only dispensed by UK-registered pharmacies. We do not ship or supply medicines directly.
